The hotel was clean and the location was unbeatable right on the square in the centre of Chagford. Comforts of double room were fabulous - an electric kettle, central heating and iron/ironing board. The view across the town and moor beyond was pleasant. Location in the heart of the city was a plus. Moreover, it's close enough to a pub which retains all the old original charms and the restaurant that was outstanding.
Didn't like the staff, some of them were very busy.

The rooms are cosy, reasonably large, and have nice views across the town. The beds are perfect, and the service is very good. The location is absolutely perfect, being close to everything and having a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel is also just next door to the square in the centre of Chagford, near beautiful Dartmoor and the Dartmoor National Park.
